Black Mud Mask is made up of finely dispersed hydrated organic multi-component colloid of fresh water sediments from over 30,000 years ago and is collected from two freshwater lakes in Eastern Europe. It has its black colour due to undergoing massive decomposition and oxidation for all the years that is has been compressed at the bottom of the lake. It contains the highest amounts of organic materials (Humic acid, Carbohydrates, Nitrogen, Free Fatty acids) And the smallest amount of inorganic material. It was found to be superior on the other tested muds, showing to accelerate the cell turnover.
